07/16/2010 Behr Heat Transfer Systems $3 million 70 The North Charleston manufacturer of automotive air conditioning and engine cooling systems will expand its product portfolio to include two new products made at its Leeds Ave plant: exhaust gas recirculation systems and charge air coolers.
06/15/2010 ArborGen Inc. $14 million 25 The company will expand its global headquarters and R&D center in the region. Its new facility will be located on a 13.5 acre campus and will house its laboratories, production and administrative functions, as well as a 35,000-square-foot greenhouse.
04/22/2010 Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation $1 million 30 Company will acquire International Forwarders Inc. and will utilize their current facility for its operations. The employees working for International Forwarders will become part of the Odyssey team immediately and the addition of new positions is expected over the next several years.
03/09/2010 IMO Group USA $47 million 190 German-based company plans to open its first U.S. operation in the region. The company will utilize the Port of Charleston for both importing materials and exporting products and will service multiple markets from its Dorchester County operation including the U.S., Europe and Asia.
