Volvo Cars' first US plant is located in Ridgeville, Berkeley County. The plant began producing the all new S60 Sedan in late 2018. The S60 is being exported around the world through the Port of Charleston. It currently employs approximately 1,500 people, and will produce Volvo Cars’ next generation, all-electric Sport Utility Vehicle and Polestar 3. At full production, the plant has the capacity to build up to 150,000 cars annually.
