Every year more than 80 local celebrities, artists and personalities design a purse for the annual “It’s in the Bag” purse auction. The event benefits the Center for Women, and will take place this Thursday from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park (34 Prioleau St.).

Attendees can bid on these one-of-a-kind bags, and there will also be a live auction of designer handbags filled with cash certificates from local businesses.
