Mt. Pleasant’s New Waterfront Park To Show Movies Under the Stars

If you haven’t checked out Mt. Pleasant’s newest park at the foot of the Ravanel Bridge, Waterfront Park, now you have the perfect excuse–free movies! Charleston County Parks & Recreation just showed their first film last weekend and will continue showing movies throughout the summer and fall to the public.

Movies start at 9 p.m. at The Great Lawn, and the audience can purchase food and drinks on-site. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for your viewing pleasure too!

Movie schedule:

  • July 24- E.T.
  • August 14- City Slickers
  • September 18- Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
  • October 2- Rudy

  1. This is a great idea!! My wife and I love going to events outside (when its not too humid). I’d love to see a large Amphitheater in Charleston for concerts like Nissan Pavilion in Northern Va or Merriweather in Columbia, MD. I think it would be great right along a river…maybe the old Navy Base since Noisette went semi-bankrupt.
