If you haven’t checked out Mt. Pleasant’s newest park at the foot of the Ravanel Bridge, Waterfront Park, now you have the perfect excuse–free movies! Charleston County Parks & Recreation just showed their first film last weekend and will continue showing movies throughout the summer and fall to the public.
Movies start at 9 p.m. at The Great Lawn, and the audience can purchase food and drinks on-site. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for your viewing pleasure too!

This is a great idea!! My wife and I love going to events outside (when its not too humid). I’d love to see a large Amphitheater in Charleston for concerts like Nissan Pavilion in Northern Va or Merriweather in Columbia, MD. I think it would be great right along a river…maybe the old Navy Base since Noisette went semi-bankrupt.
