Charleston Regional Development Alliance is embarking on an economic development planning initiative of the tri-country region over the next nine months. This initiative includes focus groups, one-on-one interviews, site visits and a survey of the residents living and working in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties. Once the initiative is complete, the findings will be used to create a multi-year economic development strategy for this region.

The strategy is called “Opportunity Next,” and is meant to guide the regional efforts needed to strengthen the economy, improve wages and fuel job growth in a global economy increasingly defined by knowledge and innovation.
