CARTA Expands Free Downtown Shuttle Route

Charleston’s public transportation system, CARTA, has expanded its free, downtown shuttle service. The free DASH (downtown area shuttle) routes began running in late November, and now the King Street route (Route 211) has added a few more stops.

The new stops along Route 211 will include: King at Morris, Ann and John Streets. The aim of the free shuttle is to make traveling around downtown easier and reduce the number of cars downtown.
