Charleston iPhone App Guides Visitors & Residents Around the Holy City

If you’re in Charleston for vacation, or you’re in the mood for a “staycation,” download the new Charleston Essential Guide iPhone app, written by Charleston local Liz Rennie of MD Design. The app is divided into categories like: Bring Jr., Shop, Stay and Enjoy (local favorite). The app features lots of free activities for guests of the Holy City too!

Here’s the app description from iTunes:

Charleston welcomes history buffs, foodies, beach lovers, couples – all those wanting to experience a cosmopolitan atmosphere that moves at a gentle pace. This is a city known for it’s masterful architecture and relentless dedication to preservation. The Charleston Essential Guide includes plenty of information about the city’s long and storied past, but the focus is on the vibrant action of today’s Charleston – where to stay, dine, play and relax right now. Arguably the most authentically maintained and culturally robust destination in the United States, Charleston’s appeal reaches to every corner the globe, and the Holy City welcomes visitors with a warm smile and southern hospitality.

Rennie previously worked for the Charleston CVB’s Media Relations Department, so she’s using her knowledge of Charleston’s attractions and destinations, restaurants, shops, hidden gems and more to write this unique app that is priced at $1.99. The app boasts original copy, 700 images, free updates, web and phone links and Google map integration via gps location. Liz, you thought of everything!
