College of Charleston Now Offers Fast-Track MBA

The Business School at College of Charleston has just added something that makes going back to school much more attractive–a 13-month, accelerated Masters in Business Administration.

The first class of 35 students will begin the program in July, and will choose either a finance or marketing focus. All students will also be required to participate in a three-week work-abroad experience.

President George Benson thinks this will allows CofC to be more competitive and “to play in the big leagues.”

Here’s the degrees’ full description from the CofC website:

The School of Business offers a full-time, day, one-year master of business administration (MBA) program.  The first MBA cohort will start this July with a “boot camp” for non-business undergraduate students.  It ends August 2011 with the graduation of our full cohort of up to 35 students.  The MBA incorporates global business perspectives into every aspect of the program including the tailored curriculum and faculty who have lived and worked overseas in China, Switzerland, England, Germany and other places.
