Advanced Technology Institute, a division of the S.C. Research Authority, has been selected by The Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces as one of the 15 Top Small Workplaces in the United States.

Winning Workplaces is a nonprofit that helps small and midsized companies improve their workplace practices. It received 629 nominations for the ranking and chose the top 15 based on criteria that included opportunities for employees to learn and grow, flexible work schedules, hiring from within, teamwork, values and performance-based compensation.

“ATI’s values are closely aligned with the Top Small Workplaces focus, so it’s very gratifying for this prestigious, independent group to validate our efforts to make these values a living part of our day-to-day routine,” said Rick Self, ATI president. “This recognition is the result of much hard work by people across our entire company to create a work environment worthy of emulation by others.”

ATI is a private, nonprofit applied research and applied services corporation with principal offices at the Trident Research Center in North Charleston.
