Avista Solutions, a nationally recognized leader in sophisticated web-based loan origination systems, is pleased to announce the relocation of its corporate office to 100 Calhoun Street in Downtown Charleston.

Avista’s state-of-the-art facility accommodates the company’s growth, while the new Executive Briefing Center will serve to share product strategy and functionality design sessions with current and prospective customers. Avista Solutions has a current staff of approximately 40 employees.

Avista’s Chief Executive cited the amenity-rich and vibrant peninsular Charleston as the primary reason for relocating his company. “I feel strongly that our downtown Charleston office location serves two functions—it helps us attract and retain the skilled talent essential to our growth and allows for expanded face-to-face customer interaction,” said CEO, Mark Phlieger. “Having access to the Charleston Digital Corridor’s programming is an added benefit,” he noted.

Avista Solutions took up temporary residence at the Flagship, the City’s technology incubator, when they relocated to Charleston in the summer of 2010. “It gives me great pleasure to have directly facilitated the development of this great knowledge-based company in our community,” said Charleston Digital Corridor Director, Ernest Andrade. “They are adding the kind of jobs that are the envy of every community,” he noted.

Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. welcomed the relocation and expansion of Avista Solutions to the City of Charleston remarking, “Avista’s growth and success is further validation that Charleston’s knowledge economy is strong and that the City’s Digital Corridor model and incubator/co-working facilities are playing the key role as intended.”

“Our heartiest congratulations go out to the Avista Solutions team,” said Charleston County Council Chairman Teddie Pryor. “We at Charleston County celebrate this important company expansion, which further fuels the growing technology talent base here in the heart of the Charleston region, where the ground is fertile for innovation.”
