Clemson nears completion of North Charleston graduate center, names director

Workers are still putting the final touches on Clemson’s graduate school building in North Charleston, but the university is getting closer to opening its new addition in earnest.

Students started taking classes at the Zucker Family Graduate Education Center last week while construction and landscape work wraps up, and the school said this week the center has its first director.

Johan Enslin, who runs an energy research center at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, will take the helm of the Clemson center in October, tasked with filling out the fledgling Lowcountry campus and honing its focus.
