avVenta Worldwide Inc., a Mount Pleasant-based digital production and interactive services company, has announced the opening of a new high-tech facility in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Founded in 2005, avVenta employs more than 400 in the United States, Great Britain, Costa Rica and the Ukraine. Its strategic partners include IBM, Microsoft, Digitas, Adobe, PointRoll and WebTrends.

The facility is the third the company has opened in Costa Rica in anticipation of doubling its South American work force to 700 employees by year’s end.

“Our employees and our Costa Rica operation are essential to our proprietary digital production and interactive services model,” said Jay Noce, company founder, chairman and CEO. “Our new facility is focused on the quality of the work space for our employees and the state-of-the-art IT, security and facilities our customers demand in their agency partner.”

avVenta provides digital and interactive technology services to global operations seeking to expand their digital marketing operations.

Noce said the facility reflects the continued growth of avVenta and its ability to “support customers in any country and time zone.”

The new 45,000-square-foot facility is more than three times the size of its two offices in Costa Rica and is located near the InterAmericana technology university.

Noce said the new facility has the capacity to eventually house more than 1,200 employees.
