Polymer Group reaches fabrics-supply agreement with DuPontOct. 1, 2001 Charleston Post and Courier
By Jim Parker, Staff Writer Polymer Group said Wednesday the company entered into an agreement to produce Miratec brand fabrics for the DuPont Advanced Fibers Systems business. The division of Delaware-based DuPont is rolling out a new thermal protective apparel offering that will use its trademarked Nomex fiber. The garments are expected to bring innovative features and benefits to the protective apparel industry, Polymer Group said. "The combination of the Nomex fiber and the Miratec/Apex technology yields a fabric that capitalizes on the thermal protective properties of Nomex fiber and the unique characteristics of PGI's Miratec and Apex technologies," said Grant Reeves, chief operating officer of Polymer Group's oriented polymers division. |
