Charleston-based Production Design Associates has been nominated for technical support company of the year in the 2009 Event Solutions Spotlight Awards.

PDA is one of eight finalists in that category. Voting began Nov. 14, and anyone is eligible to vote. Voting ends Jan. 26.

The recipients of the awards will be named at the Spotlight Awards Ceremony in February at the Event Solutions Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas.

“It is nice to be from a small market but recognized in a major national market,” said PDA project manager Todd St. Onge.

Additionally, St. Onge will be speaking at the conference. He will be conducting a seminar called “Contemporary Lighting Design in a Cost-conscious Climate.”

PDA is a leader in the provision of lighting, sound, video, staging, sets and trained technicians for events and system installations. The company’s clients include The White House, the G-8 Summit, CNN, BMW, MTV, Vought/Global Aeronautica, Spoleto Festival USA, Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. John McCain and Embassy Suites Hotels.
