By Daily Journal Staff The three contracts are worth $1.03 million to the SCRA. The Research Lab is the Air Force’s only organization wholly dedicated to leading the discovery, development and integration of war-fighting technologies for U.S. air, space and cyberspace forces. The contracts are: The Cost Modeling for Enterprise Transformation program, which will develop and demonstrate technologies to integrate cost modeling with design and manufacturing operations. The Risk Assessment for Next Generation Supply Chain Readiness program, to increase the interoperability and intelligence monitoring of supply chain operations. The Improved Design Effectiveness through Next Generation Visualization project, to create commercial software to integrate design tools with immersive visualization. Leading these project teams with industry, academic and government partners are SCRA’s Next Generation Manufacturing Technology Initiative and PDES Inc. “These digital, model-based contracts are an example of how SCRA leverages longstanding core competencies to build new relationships,” said Bill Mahoney, CEO of the SCRA. “Our NGMTI and PDES Inc. programs have provided significant client benefits for many years to the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army and are now helping SCRA secure new business with the U.S. Air Force.” |
