The Pourhouse is Homegrown Music Network’s ‘Best Venue of the Year’

The Charleston Pourhouse was named the 2010 Homegrown Music Network’s “Best Venue.” From big-name national acts to local favorites, The Pourhouse’s line-up has something for everyone. Plus, the venue also boasts authentic Cuban fare at the attached restaurant, El Bohio, and frequently hosts festivals and art & crafts shows.

This is the third time our local music venue has earned this award, winning “Best Venue” in 2006 and 2007 as well. Homegrown Music Network strives to promote independent bands and labels, and is a source for all-things-music for both lesser known and leading bands, djs, songwriters and more.

Stop by for free live music during happy hour, or catch one of their usually-nightly shows (tickets range from $5-25). The porch can’t be beat, and the venue’s intimacy is something that is rare these days. The schedule can be found online for shows booked through the end of March. Support local music!
