Global Business Development Manager
Karen is a project manager for the Charleston Regional Development Alliance’s Global Business Development team. She supports CRDA’s mission to serve as a catalyst for long-term economic prosperity and to attract the world’s best companies, talent, and entrepreneurs to the region. Karen assists companies and entrepreneurs opening or expanding operations in the Charleston region, which includes making introductions to local and state business and government networks, facilitating real estate site visits, and serving as a resource during the transition period and beyond.
Prior to CRDA, Karen worked for global law firm K&L Gates LLP as a member of the firm’s marketing and business development department. She supported the firm’s economic incentives, foreign direct investment, real estate, aerospace, and automotive practice groups.
Karen attended College of Charleston, graduating in 2012 with a double major in Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism Management. She is a native of Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
