Cars.com has created a Green Cities index for the last three years based on the car shopping behaviors on its web site and what percentage of total car shopping activity are researching hybrid vehicles, and several South Carolina cities appear to have interest in hybrid vehicles (and may even have taken the final step to purchase these fuel-efficient vehicles). Charleston ranked #154 on the 3rd Annual Green Cities Index.

So what other SC cities made the list? Columbia, SC (#110), Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC (#123) and Myrtle Beach-Florence, SC (#185) all were doing their green car research too!
