I have called Charleston | SC home for 10+ years. With each passing year, I learn something new about this dynamic region, and how the 749K people living here ensure the community is open and welcoming to visitors from all over the world. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that I have found a new craft brewery or two in the neighborhood.

The U.S. Census Bureau recently updated the 2016 population and growth stats, ranking the Charleston region the 74th largest U.S. metro (out of 382), with 34 people moving here every day. The diverse communities throughout the region’s three counties offer unique assets for newcomers looking to call this area home.

The Charleston Regional Development Alliance, whose mission is to build regional prosperity by attracting the world’s best companies, talent, and entrepreneurs, has put together an online Charleston | SC Relocation Guide full of links offering an in-depth view into each communities’ assets.

From beach living to downtown, from suburban neighborhoods to rural farms, the local region has a lot to offer people looking to call our metro home. The Charleston Relocation Guide gives new residents a one-stop snapshot of the Charleston region including:

  • Community info: Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties
  • Full listing of educational options K-12 and higher education
  • Working in Charleston
  • Healthcare and wellness options

  • Arts and Culture

Check out the Charleston Relocation Guide here and experience a small taste of what this amazing region offers. Find your little brewery or two that helps you call Charleston | SC home.
