Blackbaud announced today that Pepperdine
University has selected Blackbaud’s software, professional services and
e-philanthropy solutions to power its advancement and alumni operation. More
than 80 people on the university’s staff will use The Raiser’s Edge,
Blackbaud’s fund-raising software, to help manage their relationship-building and fund-raising efforts.

“We chose Blackbaud because the company offers a superior solution,” said
Janice May, Director of Advancement Information Management at Pepperdine
University. “The Raiser’s Edge will enable us to better handle our prospect
management, queries, reporting and online outreach needs. We look forward
to exploring the accompanying professional services, ensuring we make the
most of the overall solution to meet our goals.”

The announcement came at the culmination of a multi-year research and
selection process aimed at finding the technology solution that would grow
with Pepperdine’s evolving needs.

One of America’s leading private universities, Pepperdine is located in
Malibu, California, and has satellite campuses throughout Southern
California and learning centers in several foreign cities. Pepperdine will
also use RE:NetSolutions, Blackbaud’s hosted offerings that extend an
organization’s fund-raising operation to the Web. In addition, Blackbaud is
providing consulting, technical and customization services to meet
Pepperdine’s unique needs.

“The Blackbaud staff is wonderful to work with,” May continued. “We are
confident that this partnership will be instrumental in ensuring the success
of Pepperdine’s future fund-raising efforts.”

Pepperdine serves more than 8,000 full-time and part-time students in its
five colleges and schools.
