Charleston the No. 2 Best Small City in the U.S. in Condé Nast 2021 Reader’s Choice Awards

After a decade in the top spot, Charleston has been knocked down from No. 1 on Condé Nast Traveler’s ranking of the best small cities in the U.S.

Charleston slipped to second, beat by Aspen, Colo., according to rankings the magazine posted Oct. 5.

The popular ski destination shot up on the list between last year and the new 2021 rankings, going from seventh to first.
