LowCountry Go Marks One-Year Anniversary with Giveaway

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (Feb. 26, 2019) – Lowcountry Go, a commuter services program that connects
real people with real commuter solutions, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a giveaway
contest for current and new program users.

The grand prize is a gift basket from Gullah Gourmet valued at more than $200, including Gullah
Gourmet’s shrimp-and-grits mix, Charleston Candles, American Classic Tea, a $50 gift certificate from
Magnolias and more. To be eligible, participants must be registered with Low Go and like select posts
on Lowcountry Go social medial channels through Feb. 28. The winner will be announced March 1.

“While there’s only one grand prize this week, everyone who signs up for Lowcountry Go is a winner
because they’re saving money, reducing stress and, of course, have access to the Lowcountry Go
emergency ride home feature, which allows for up to three reimbursable rideshares each year,” said
Lowcountry Go program manager Vonie Gilreath.

Lowcountry Go connects tri-county residents with real commuting solutions such as first-mile and last mile
options, transit routes and park and ride locations. The convenient interface of the Low Go website
allows users to safely connect with others through carpools – all while relieving traffic headaches,
saving money and reducing environmental impact. Lowcountry Go offers sustainable commute options
and connects commuters in the region based on origin, destination, time, date, or events.

The program gained more than 400 users in its first year and officials expect to see that number
increase with the rollout of a subsidized van pool feature in 2019.
