Another day, another record broken at the port.
The CMA CGM Marco Polo is officially at the Wando Welch Terminal. It’s the largest container ship to scale the East Coast.
“The 60,000 TCU’s on the Marco Polo would span 61 miles if placed end to end,” said Ed Aldridge the President of CMA CGM America and APL North America.
The ship’s last stop in the U.S. is right here in the Lowcountry, but that’s no coincidence.
