Show your support for world peace this Sunday at the second annual Charleston Peace One Day Festival. The event starts at Brittlebank Park (1-6 p.m.) and concludes with a concert at the Music Farm (9 p.m.). According to the Facebook event info, “The festival will unite Charleston’s many cultures with the rest of the world in celebrating the United Nation’s International Day of Peace and Ceasefire in a community celebration that is inclusive of education, art, music, sport, and other peace-building initiatives in an event that is free to the public.”

Various peace-focused activities will be present at Brittlebank Park, and WALK Gallery will be displaying regional, peace-themed artwork in empty storefronts around town. Head over to the Music Farm to hear music from Dangermuffin, Organ Donor and Firework Show. If you bring 10 cans of food, you’ll receive a free, autographed event poster from local artist, Tina Christophillis. Click here for a full list of activities, entertainment and speakers.
