As Brand & Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining CRDA’s brand identity and portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic brand initiatives, creating compelling content, and ensuring consistent messaging across various channels. Your creative and strategic thinking will be essential in driving brand awareness and engagement among multiple target audiences. When you are not creating branded content yourself, you will be deftly managing projects produced by our outsourced partners.

Your Why

You possess at least five years of professional experience in brand development and execution. You are a skillful communicator in both your writing and your graphic literacy. A natural collaborator, you possess the confidence to present your ideas, and the maturity to embrace those of your colleagues. You are energized by meeting new people and enjoy seeking out interesting and engaging stories in the Charleston region. You are a self-starter and a successful juggler of numerous projects at once.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage the overall brand strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals and values.
  • Create and curate high-quality, engaging and relevant visual and written content for various platforms, including social media, websites, blogs, email campaigns, online advertising and more to elevate CRDA’s storytelling power.
  • Write and manage content for distinctly different platforms – from social posts to multipage collateral.
  • Execute and manage graphic design for the organization, including logos, infographics, presentation templates, print and digital advertising.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual and verbal identity, including logo, typography, color schemes, and tone of voice; ensure all brand assets are consistently applied across multiple communication channels and materials.
  • Work with external agencies or partners as needed for specific branding or content projects; ensure outsourced projects are on-brand in terms of style, quality and tone.
  • Participate in planning and execution of local events and meetings designed to elevate CRDA’s corporate brand, including board meetings and investor events.
  • Bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table on a continuous basis.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape; use insights from research to inform brand and content strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least five years of experience in brand management, content creation, or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an impeccable attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency with graphic design principles and tools, such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Skilled in using content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for storytelling and branding.
  • Reliable transportation for in-region travel (required).
  • Ability to work a consistent, hybrid schedule with multiple in-person days per week.
