Part of the multinational Terberg RosRoca Group, which employs more than 2,500 people worldwide, Dennis Eagle Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of refuse collection vehicles. The company plans to lease 16,000 square feet in Dorchester County’s Eastport Commerce Center, located at 104 Pinnacle Way, to assemble Elite Chassis for compressed natural gas (CNG) and diesel trucks. The facility will become operational in 2020.

Industrial hemp processing

Magnolia Botanicals, a joint venture between South Carolina-based Blue Water Green Bridge, LLC and United Cannabis Corporation, today announced plans to establish an industrial hemp processing plant in Dorchester County. Located at Pine Hill Business Campus in Ridgeville, S.C., the company will provide hemp extraction services for farmers working under the 2018 Federal Farm Bill and the S.C. Department of Agriculture’s Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. The facility is expected to be operational Q1 2020.

Today, the firm announced plans to open a new product division in the Charleston region at 1750 Signal Point Road, Unit 3, in the James Island Business Park and will begin manufacturing operations by September 1, 2019. "We are impressed with the skilled workforce and look forward to creating new jobs and bringing investment to the area," says company President Leon Bester.
