Trident Health is a 511-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals - Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center - one behavioral health hospital - Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness - and four freestanding emergency departments - Brighton Park Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center, Centre Pointe Emergency and James Island Emergency. Everyday Trident Health's more than 2,600 employees, more than 500 physicians and more than 130 volunteers are dedicated to fulfilling the health system's mission. Founded in 1975, we are proud of our nearly 50 year history in the Lowcountry, one that has grown with the region over time to serve 375,000 South Carolina Lowcountry residents each year.
