Charleston Restaurant Week is a Hit

Foodies and budding culinary fanatics can finally get a taste of Restaurant Week in South Carolina. This week, restaurants across the state are participating in the first statewide Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week started in New York City in the early 1990’s to give diners a chance to taste restaurants’ menus at a fraction of the normal price. Charleston Restaurant Week joins over 30 cities across the U.S. for this annual celebration of everything food.

Locally, over 30 restaurants are participating in this event. I am personally going to dine out twice this week and go to two restaurants I haven’t tried. This is a great opportunity to gain some business during a notoriously slow time, expose a new audience of people to your restaurant and thank your loyal enthusiasts with great food at a very affordable price!

Many restaurants are booked solid, but several restaurants are running extended specials too. Maverick Southern Kitchens’ restaurants are running their 3 for $30 special all month long, as well as Circa 1886 extending their 3 for $30 until next week.
