Alaska Airlines to expand to daily service on Charleston-Seattle route in March

Five years after launching Charleston International’s only nonstop cross-country flights with an abbreviated schedule, Alaska Airlines is upgrading to daily service.

The new flight between the Lowcountry and Seattle will launch Saturday, March 21. Saturday is currently the only day the carrier doesn’t shuttle passengers between Charleston and the Pacific Northwest, which are the East Coast and West Coast anchors for Boeing Co.’s commercial aircraft business.
