After a holiday season that saw low travel numbers, Charleston International Airport is getting some needed boosts this week.
Allegiant is now offering nonstop service twice a week from Charleston to St. Louis, Mo., and Louisville, Ky., the company said in a news release. The service will begin May 28 with $49 one-way flights, pending restrictions.
CEO of the Charleston County Aviation Authority, Elliot Summey, said Allegiant’s new nonstop services to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is a win for the Charleston area.
