NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – Thanks to a growing demand for its proprietary products and this region’s access to international markets, Stealth Network Technologies, Inc. today announced an expansion in the region. The announcement was facilitated by the Charleston Regional Development Alliance.

Stealth Network Technologies, Inc. designs, engineers, and installs antenna concealment systems for wireless carriers worldwide. The company’s proprietary StealthSkinÔ technology allows signals to pass through the concealment with minimal loss. Stealth’s solutions to antenna concealment include rooftops, flagpoles, light poles, silos, bell and clock towers and other architectural structures.

“Stealth Network Technologies represents a spirit of innovation and hard work, which is the spirit shared throughout the Charleston region,” said George Tupper, chairman of the Alliance. “Despite what we are hearing in the business press, some companies are doing well, and are growing. Congratulations, Stealth.”

Chris McLernon, President of Stealth, reported that the company looked at other possible locations for the expansion, but chose to remain in the Charleston region thanks to a combination of factors. “The Charleston area is a great hub for our growing international business,” he said. “We also enjoy reasonable business costs, plus an unbeatable quality of life.”

In fact, McLernon said, the company’s revenues have increased 600% in the five years since moving here, from Ohio.

North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey welcomed news of Stealth’s expansion plans. “Our city has been part of your past successes, and we are pleased to be woven into your future. Congratulations, Stealth, on your continued positive growth.”

“This is very good news for Charleston County,” said Charleston County
Council Chairman Barrett Lawrimore. “It is indeed fitting that this leading edge technology company, one of the Metro Chamber’s coveted ‘Emerging 10,’ is growing in a community which places such importance on ‘smart growth’ and aesthetics. We wish Stealth continued success, and we will continue our great partnership with them into this new era.”

In working to attract competitive new business investment to the region, the Alliance works with numerous groups, including the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

“South Carolina’s high-tech companies are growing as a result of innovative solutions to complex problems. Stealth is an incredible asset to our state’s technology community, and we welcome their long-term commitment to growing in South Carolina,” said Secretary of Commerce Charles S. Way, Jr.

Stealth Network Technologies, Inc. sells antenna concealment systems throughout North America and overseas. The company designed the first flag pole concealment system in the industry. Stealth enjoys a special niche with highly customized, architecturally challenging projects, such as older structures where weathering and exterior features must be matched exactly.
