I’On named finalist for ‘Best Smart Growth Community’

Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders recently named I’On as a finalist for the 2001 “Best in American Living” awards category for “Best Smart Growth Community” in the country. The winner will be announced Feb. 7 in Des Plaines, Ill.

Located in Mount Pleasant, I’On is a 243-acre development with 762 home sites featuring single-family, Lowcountry-style homes. The development is a “multi-use, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood” sensitive to the environment, according to Vince Graham, I’On founder and president.

Last year, Professional Builder magazine and NAHB named I’On “Best Community in the Nation.”
