The New York University School of Journalism is collaborating with Charleston book publisher Booksurge.com and international news and editorial opinion site Bluear.com to produce 09/11 8:48 A.M.; Documenting America’s Greatest Tragedy, a collection of first-hand accounts from survivors of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York City’s World Trade Center, as told to NYU journalism students and faculty.

The book, to be published and sold by Booksurge.com, was available Sept. 30. Booksurge.com’s digital communication and print-on-demand technologies will allow the paperback book to be delivered to individual customers and bookstores only 19 days after the tragedies.

The collaborators hope the project will raise $1 million for Red Cross relief efforts. Webmasters, online communities, corporations and others interested in linking to the book to raise funds for Red Cross relief should contact 911relief@ booksurge.com.
