SPAWAR awards $45 million contract to Titan Corp.

The Navy SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston has awarded The Titan Corp. a competitive indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity contract. The contract has a potential value, with options if exercised, of $44.8 million through October 2007.

The contract supports the Navy’s C4ISR systems at Charleston, Cherry Point, N.C.; and other locations afloat and ashore worldwide.

Under this award, Titan will assist the SPAWAR in the ongoing transformation and implementation of global C4ISR-command, control, communication, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance-technology worldwide. It will also provide technical and acquisition management support services.

Headquartered in San Diego, The Titan Corp. provides information and communications systems solutions and services to the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, and other federal government customers. The company has approximately 10,000 employees and annualized sales of approximately $1.4 billion.
