The American Forest and Paper Association awarded Summerville-
based Forest Technology Group its 2001 Environmental and Energy
Achievement Award.
The award recognizes the company’s WebFRIS system that helps
forest managers and landowners achieve their economic and
environmental goals. The Web-based system enables more widespread
and convenient access to maps, imagery and forest data, which are
important for resource management.
The annual Environmental and Energy Achievement Awards
recognize significant achievements by paper industry and forest
products companies improving efficiency and forest management.
