Southwest Airlines Magazine Introduces Travelers to Charleston

The June issue of Spirit Magazine, Southwest Airlines’ inflight publication, introduces readers to Charleston in a variety of articles. Southwest began flying here in March, and this issue exposes travelers to our vibrant home town. Art, food, hotels, history, business and interesting people make for some great reading.

In “State of the Art,” the writer describes the quantity of galleries:

Gallery Row on historic Broad Street is a good place to start. You’ll find about 15 galleries here, with another two dozen on the surrounding streets. All told, the gallery collection in Charleston and nearby communities numbers around 70, quite a large amount for such a diminutive area.
