Put on your dancing shoes every third Thursday, and head out for the monthly street festival in downtown Summerville. Summerville DREAM (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) created this free event, which runs from 5-8 p.m. Organizers encourage visitors to check out the local shops and restaurants.
Head over to Main Street (closed to traffic for the dances) to enjoy wine, cheese and other food from vendors, as well as arts & crafts. Additionally, galleries on Short Central will be holding an Art Walk and there’s usually live entertainment from bands, local schools and theater groups.
April’s event featured shag dancing, door prizes and giveaways, and May will kick off “Summerville’s Got Talent.” Mark your calendars for this family friendly, monthly event!
